45th Annual VFW Youth Group Invitational Basketball Tournament

 October 18th and 19th, 2025

TEAM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. GIRL’S DIVISIONS: 3rd through 12th grade (Determined by school grade as of Fall of 2025)

2. BOY’S DIVISIONS: 3rd through 12th grade (Determined by school grade as of Fall of 2025)

3. ENTRY FEE: Early Bird registration fee is $575 per team, with a deadline of June 15th, 2025. If registering after June 15th, the fee is $625 with a deadline of July 31st, 2025.

Please write in your grade, organization and team name in the memo.

5. We are accepting Zelle payments. Send payments to: vfwnga@gmail.com and include your grade, organization, and team name.

6. Players can only be on one (1) team roster. Players cannot play on more than one (1) team or in another division.

7. Parents must sign all digital waiver forms prior to the first game and players not having all signed waiver forms will not be allowed to participate in the games or in the tournament.

8. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to move teams to higher or lower divisions.

9. It is recommended teams have a minimum of 7 players and should be limited to 10 players as only 10 awards will be given for Championship, Second, Third (if applicable) and Consolation (if applicable). Teams with more than 10 players will not be excluded.

10. Each team is responsible for having their own insurance coverage and will be required to sign a waiver.

11. Each team must have uniforms with numbers on the front and back.

12. Tournament rosters are limited to league rostered players who have signed the team waiver form prior to the first game. Non-league rostered player requests must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Committee for approval at least 6 weeks prior to the tournament. Any protest regarding eligibility of a player must be made prior to the first game. The Tournament Committee has final ruling on player eligibility and/or acceptance. SEYO, CBO, CYC, JAO, OCSA rules will govern player eligibility.

13. All tournament roster changes approved from Aug 1st – September 15th will be subject to a $25 per player roster change fee. Any roster changes from September 16th thru September 30th will be subject to a $50 player change/add fee. No roster additions after October 1st, 2024 will be accepted.

14. To help defray the entry cost, the VFW Youth Group will offer a 50% discount based upon advertisements placed on behalf of your team, up to the cost of the entry fee. A refund will be sent to you upon advertiser approval and receipt of payment for the ad. (Please do not deduct the refund from the entry fee.)

REMINDER:

1. Since there are more invitations sent than spots available, the division tournament field will be based on first come first serve. Space is limited.

2. Submission of entry fee and roster does not constitute acceptance into Tournament

3. A complete game schedule and set of rules will be mailed to you at a later date.
