Mission: The Kazuo Masuda VFW Post 3670 – Youth Group of Orange County is a non-profit started by the Kazuo Masuda family in 1957. Our mission is to foster the growth and development of youth and to build community through service and volunteerism. Programs include youth athletics activities that teach good sportsmanship and teamwork and service events that promote engagement in the community and leadership skills.
We provide a developmental basketball program for children ages 7 to 18. The organization provides gyms for practices. Coaching staff and team representatives are all parents, family members, and volunteers.
Our Keiki Kodomo basketball program is a summer program designed for children K-2nd grade and generally serves as an introduction to the sport of basketball. We had around 100 children participate in the program this past summer. Volunteers are middle and high school students – most that participate in the developmental basketball program.
High School recognition awards for graduating seniors. Multiple high school seniors are recognized every year for their scholastic achievement, service to their community and personal achievement.
